The MOSAIC initiative combines patient samples and technologies from multiple institutions, hospitals and technology partners, who are joining forces to create the largest multimodal, spatial omics atlas in cancer. MOSAIC was formed to:
The MOSAIC initiative will create a multimodal dataset with spatial transcriptomes from 7,000 patients in seven cancer types.
This is the largest spatial omics atlas to date.
Data scientists will apply state-of-the-art interpretable AI to analyze large-scale multimodal patient data to drive cancer research forward.

Founding partners
Each Founding Partner provides experimental data from 1,000 patients, in at least three therapeutic areas, and can access the data generated through the MOSAIC initiative for their own research.
Owkin will create a data platform and apply its AI/ML expertise to unlock the insights held within the multimodal data. Owkin funds the technology installation and experimental costs of the initiative.
